I enjoy this post. I like to breathe 6 times when I'm task-switching, which helps me let go of my past task and begin my next task. I understand your point about choice, but I also know digital companies are trying as hard as they can to steal your attention; the movie "The Social Dilemma" captures this insidious machine quite well. The military did a ton of research on "divided attention" and found that if you attention is fractured as you learn, that is how the knowledge will rest in your mind...in a fractured state. Thank you for this wonderful post!
This kinda reminds me of Cal Newport's book 'Digital Minimalism' (You might think 'Oh no! not another self-help book', but it's really good and a delighting read) as a big part of how we approach and use social media and technology in general in our life is determined by the the question if we use it intentionally or just – as you described it – on autopilot. To live life paying more attention to all the different things we experience is really eye opening in today's time where most of the time we tend to just live passively on autopilot.
Whenever I go for a walk in a small forest like strip of nature near by home and hear all the birds singing, feel a light summer breeze on my face and the warmth of the afternoon sun prickling on my skin I always feel exceedingly present in that specific moment. This is something that I don't get from scrolling through social media feeds or watching the n'th YouTube video.
Thanks! We attract things we already keep in our heart. Anything would be fine if it fulfills our expectations. Ignoring this aspect is like refusing one life.
Kenta, this is a gem of an article, would love to connect with you to discuss how we are trying to reclaim attention using turia.ai . Than you so much for the content again!

It's all about self-awareness!
Awesome hack Bill. Would love to get your 2 cents on a mindful work product we are working on.
You become what you pay attention to, so let it be Love... become the friend of Love; become Love.
Exactly.
You need to be careful not to go the way around and ignore the bad in people that you really should see.
Yeah true, pay attention to what's real without any biases. There's just more good qualities being unnoticed.
